The Palace

The crowing jewel of Hemopolis, this castle hulks above everything else by stories and stories. Made with advanced metals and reinforced glass, this structure can take a lot of abuse.

*Feferi strides thru the archway, glancing at the three thrones as she walked past. They were all supposed to be the same height and design, but of course Meenah had to "trick" hers out, making it solid gold and fuchsia, with a bunch of spikes coming off the top. Shaking her head, she walks down the corridor, nodding at two midblood guards playing a card game in the corner. They both bolt upright and stand at attention, scrambling to get to their posts. Feferi sighs and keeps walking, exiting the courtroom. She spots a few shadows coming up the stairwell directly ahead and takes a sharp left, heading out onto the balcony overlooking the city. Far below is a massive river, so deep that she hasn't heard of a single seadweller finding the bottom yet*

*Fef sighs and leans against the balcony, staring at the sky. The bright purple moon shone down on them, as massive and omnipresent as always. This world was so different from Alternia. Terrain varied much more wildly, and extreme weather outside the city is always a threat. But it really was beautiful. The ocean was vast, much larger than on Alternia. She was finding something new every day down there.*

*Fef laughs, her voice echoing through the empty courtyards below, a sonorous note*

Tavros enters the room, but remains behind the archway leading to the balcony, standing at an angle where he can see two thirds of the rulers but also some of the surrounding room, lest someone walk in.

Karkat pushed off of the ledge, standing straight up.

*Fef smiles but doesn't respond. She stares off into the distance, frowning slightly. In the distance, lightning strikes, causing resounding BOOM to shock the air. Fef's eyes widen and she falls on her back, looking wild. In a flash, her 2x3dent is in her hand, her arms shaking, her breathing shallow*

Karkat moves back in surprise of Feferi's sudden fall.
WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING? STOP BEING A WRIGGLER, IT'S ONLY LIGHT-
Karkat's expression dropped as he cut himself off. A look of realization spread across his face.

Karkat reached his arm down towards Feferi, trying to help her up.

*Fef's eyes narrow to slits and she slashes her 2x3dent, but gasps and stops herself. Her shaking slows to a stop, and she tentatively takes Karkat's hand*

Karkat pulls her back up to her feet.

*Fef is about to reply when Meenah strides out onto the balcony, looking pissed.*

*Feferi frowns*

*Meenah shrugs again, looking indifferent as hell*

*Fef frowns deeper but doesn't respond*

*Feferi groans but doesn't object. She walks back into the throne room and plops down on her throne, looking out the massive skylight above her. The massive pink moon nearly blinds her but she's used to it by now.*

*Meenah strides up to her own throne in the center and plops down with her legs crossed, flipping her hair ties behind her back*

Karkat follows suit, sitting down on his throne. He props himself up with one arm on the side, and holds up his head, mentally preparing himself to deal with this.

Tavros moves himself from near the archway to standing on raised platform just below the thrones, positioned in such a way that he is visibly lower than those on the thrones, even when they're sitting.
He is standing on the corner of said platform, so as not to obstruct any of their views.

*Nep strides in thru the front with Eridan in tow. She waves hello nonchalantly as two guards salute her*

*Nep frowns but doesn't respond for a moment.*

*She walks up the stairs leading to the foyer of the main structure. Ahead, four guards stand ready at the glimmering doors that mark the throne room. Really, these guards are the only ones who know their stuff. They give a slight nod to Nepeta as she passes and pushes thru the doors.

*Nep smiles at Fef widely, but not before lingering on Karkat for a few moments. Feferi's face breaks out into a huge smile and she stands up, walking over to Nepeta and giving her a hug*

*Nepeta jerks a thumb backwards towards Eridan*
