Her mouth is turned in a slight frown, but her usual hatred is gone, replaced with a strange, almost morbid gaze

Eridan recoils just slightly in surprise but doesn't break eye contact. To have her scrutinize him like this, like a lioness judging if a troll is a threat to her cubs, is a little disconcerting to say the least, but the lack of fire in her eyes gives him hope.
